Please read before applying:

If you have made it this far, we would like to thank you for taking the time to stop by and think of us.

We are currently looking for a few more bodies to fill out our team. We are looking for people who are physically fit with an eagerness to learn and commit to the team and each other. It is a big step applying to a team. When applying please keep in mind that this sport is not cheap and please make sure that you have the funds and time to commit. As a team we rely on each other to attend events and training's. Not only are we a team, but we are all friends. Force Recon's core members have military experience and run several training courses over the season to bring new and old recruits up to date on tactics we use that are related to Airsoft.

This is not a walk on team. There is an application and recruitment selection process that everyone must endure before becoming a member.

Before becoming a member of Force Recon you must put in your time attending events such as games and training. During this time you will prove to the rest of the members that you want to be a part of something more. When the team has decided you are ready for a promotion, a vote will be held. If you are accepted you will then be given the opportunity to wear the team patch and begin representing us as a member of our team.

Force Recon is a Canadian MILSIM Airsoft team that plays in games across Ontario and in the USA. We have instructors who are active and ex military who teach us squad tactics, field movement etc and work as a team, not individuals.

Force Recon consists of people from all walks of life. We are a very diverse team with a varying ages and backgrounds. Military, both current and retired. EMS, construction, and security to name a few. Each person on the team brings something unique to the rest of us. We are not only an Airsoft team, but friends outside of the sport and get together on a regular basis. Through the team we have developed a Brotherhood. A group of really good friends that have your back no matter what the circumstances.

Not only are we an Airsoft team, we are also hosts of Canada's largest Milsim series -
This is an annual event where unfortunately Force Recon does not play in, but acts as game control instead.

As a team, we focus on the Milsim aspect of Airsoft that we have all come to love. We attend normally 18+ hour events and are not much for skirmishing. We work as a team, not as individuals. If you see one of us you can guarantee there are more nearby. There is strength in numbers and that is how we play. We have a chain of command and it is expected to be obeyed. Those who have concerns with following a chain of command or are looking for a more free form style of play should probably look elsewhere.

Everyone's opinion is valuable on and off the field. Everyone's opinion is heard at team meetings and in our after action debriefings. If you are looking for a team with structure and determination you have come to the right place.

Members of the team range from the Kingston area to the Greater Toronto Area and even farther now. Do not let this deter you in applying. We travel a lot.
As a team each year we contribute to a bank account where we can purchase things that the team needs such as patches, shirts, equipment and swag.

Our Values

While you wear the Force Recon patch or not you will be professional, mature and honest. Call your hits, and if in doubt call it anyway. You will be respectful of the command structure, other teammates, opponents and game control. This applies regardless of whether you are on the field or not. How you act when you are a member of this team is how others will see us. As a team, game hosts and individuals we have a reputation to uphold within the community.

If you are one of those people who think you are better than everyone else and your opinion is the only one you will listen to, look elsewhere, we don't want you. If your an asshat and don't know it yet, we will be sure to let you know. We respect others and treat them how we want to be treated.

Members of Force Recon conduct themselves as mature, rational adults. Each member strives to build on the team's strengths and to recognize and improve upon any weakness. This means that we are are ready and willing to accept helpful constructive criticism and to avoid undue drama or crying. A big part of maturity in this web enabled world is to avoid wading into shit-storms and pissing matches in discussion forums and such. We maintain a private members only forum for venting and ranting but publicly we will always be mature, gracious and magnanimous.

Force Recon's success comes from the commitment from its members. We rely on each other as friends, as teammates to have each others backs when needed. By being a member of Force Recon we have expectations from each individual. We understand that real life gets in the way and can affect when you get to play soldier. Attendance is tracked year to year for training and games. We play as a team. If you cannot participate with us you can find a team that can support your attendance.

Physical Fitness and Mental Toughness
A level of physical fitness is required. Many of our events are 18-30+ hours non-stop. It is expected that you try and last through the entire event with only the minimum planned rest periods. We understand that there are things to take into consideration like the elements, fitness level, injuries etc. We ask that you do everything that you can to train and test yourself both physically and mentally to prepare as the rest of the team is counting on you. We expect you to do your best and improve on it each time. Contrary to some beliefs, will and will alone is not enough to push you through a game.

And above all else, WE HAVE FUN doing what we do. Sometimes we forget that this is only a sport. If there comes a time when we aren't having fun someone kick us in the ass and let us know.

Attendance standards have been put in place. Anyone with an FR Patch or applicants must participate to keep/earn it. You must participate at a MINIMUM 2 FBC, 1 CQB and 2 Games (1 of them being a US Game) a year.

1. Equipment Check - You MUST have a full basic equipment loadout
(Vest, BDU, boots, 5-10 magazines, minimum 3 batteries (Puxing 888 UHF and spare battery + headset), AEG/GBB, EyePro). Rain gear is also a good idea to have but not mandatory to begin application process.

2. You MUST have a job. (Or be stinking filthy rich)
This sport is expensive and when we go to games and plan training we expect dedication and commitment as everyone on the team is counting on each other.
Because we attend games in the USA, we ask that members attend at least 1 USA game EVERY YEAR.

3. There are no specific load out requirements, however our primary uniform is CADPAT TW. Our secondary BDU is CADPAT ARID.
We understand that Cadpat is hard to come by. It is not needed at the time of the submission of your application but should be acquired asap.
